The The Tall Ships Races regatta director Peter Newell came to St. Petersburg to participate in the work of the Organization Committee on preparation of Saint-Petersburg stage of international regatta.

Peter Newell reviewed the preparations to host regatta’s participants and appreciated the organizers’ work. «St. Petersburg stage organizers showed deep concern and interest to do their best. Many specialists including experienced captains are involved into organization process. They have clear understanding of all difficulties occur while preparations. The regatta has received the official support by the City Governer and Administration. This guarantees us high-level action. We are impressed with all efforts made by the Committee. The main point is also that St/ Petersburg follows the regatta’s main idea – to involve young people having no experience in yacht sport», - Peter Newell said.

The only difficulty the Committee had to face was visas registration for crews members. But the problem was solved with special agreement on reduced system of documents registration.
