Solemn meeting of St. Petersburg yachts participated in the International sailing training regatta THE TALL SHIPS' RACES - 2009, will take place at the embankment of Lenexpo exhibition hall near pavilion ? 7.

This year 15 yachts and 2 sailboats (“Mir” and “Young Baltiets”) took part in regatta. It was supported by the Port Committee of the St. Petersburg stage of regatta and sponsorship.

In the 2nd race of the regatta on the route Turku (Finland) - Klaipeda (Lithuania), St. Petersburg yachts have achieved good sports results. «Peter 1» yacht crew won the second place in D class, «Young» won the third place in D class. The 1st place in D class also won Russia's yacht «Siberia» from Omsk, which has previously made a voyage around the world. Yacht «Adventure» was the second to cross the finish line among throughout the regatta’s fleet.

The crews will be presented with memorable gifts of Maritime Council under the Government of St. Petersburg.
